The Vampire Diaries 4×23 ‘Graduation’: And then THIS happened!
Wow, I think we can safely say that 2013 finale week (or weeks) have been quite rewarding so far….Emily Thorne revealed her true identity to Jack….We got to finally meet THE MOTHER…and now ladies and gentlemen…TVD had a season finale which was almost as awesome as the return of Katherine in s1. For months everything about Silas was a joke – many humble servants of the bloggersphere LOLed at the fact that there is so much buzz around a character who a) no one cares about and b) is not important enough to even have an actual actor play him. Silas’s only awesome quality was that he could appear as anyone else – he was Shane, Caroline, Stefan, Rebekah, Matt and even Klaus…Yet he still remained the D-plot of the show, everyone was so busy running around searching for the cure, then keeping an eye on Elena that Silas was like an annoying fly issue everyone just kept brushing off. Well, seems that will no longer be the case. Actually, from what it looks like season 5 (and here is hoping) is going to be quite intriguing since the show left us with a load of cliffhangers. Grey’s Anatomy 4×24 ‘Perfect Storm’: She’s our person
This finale definitely wasn’t what I expected going into it, but as I watched it I was able to form some predictions, some of which turned out to be right. After last week’s episode, I predicted that something would happen to Paul (Ethan’s dad) on the way to Seattle Pres, and I’m really disappointed that they didn’t show more of Ethan’s side of the story. I wasn’t thinking they’d be transported via helicopter, which would make the chances of Ethan surviving an accident very slim, but since we didn’t hear anything more about them after their departure, I’m assuming they made it there okay. I’m pretty devastated that they made the entire story line about Cristina’s lack of desire to become a mother. I thought that after helping Meredith through labor and delivery, her heart would soften and she’d at least understand Owen’s bond with Ethan. I don’t know that she will ever have children of her own or even seek adoption, but I had hope that if anything happened to Paul, she could be there for Ethan as much as Owen would be. My heart just sank when I saw her stop at Meredith’s room and watch her celebrating with her family, then just keep walking. Without Owen, she’ll never have any sort of family of her own. Read more…

The Mindy Project 1×24 ‘Take Me With You’: Heading to Haiti
The Mindy Project’s season finale went the same way most of the season has: with some solid jokes, uneven pacing, great guest stars and a lot of tension between Danny and Mindy.
I’m not entire sure where to start, as a great deal of this episode felt smashed together: first Mindy and Casey were trying to figure out how to make a long distance relationship work, then Mindy decided to go with him to Haiti, then they went on a camping trip with an (underused) Christina and Danny, then there was a party for Casey and Mindy going away, where Mindy tried to convince Casey to leave her behind in New York, then Mindy, Jeremy and Danny delivered some children, Mindy got back together with Casey, and Danny tried to confess his feelings to Mindy, only to have her tell him that she was going to Haiti with Casey. Whew. Read more…

MERDER got married legally so that they could adopt Zola. Not that I wanted them to really get married. 60% of the time, he’s a McDouche.

Warehouse 13 4×13 ‘The Big Snag’: It’s the Noir Episode, Doll
Nothing is more fun then when Warehouse 13 shakes up their plotlines and tries something different. They’ve done this before to fantastic results: the body switching episode, the time traveling episode, the Christmas episodes, every single one of their season finales and premieres, etc. This week it was a noir themed episode, with Pete and Myka transported into a mystery novel. Once Upon a Time 2 x 22: And Straight On Til Morning: It’s Going To Be a Bumpy Ride
This week opens with a shot of the Jolly Roger. Hook is mooning over a tattered drawing of his former lover, Milah, who also happens to be the former wife of Rumpelstiltskin, as well as formerly among the living, thanks to Rumple’s removal of her heart. Smee approaches the captain and questions him on his intentions for extra soggy Bae, just fished out of the drink. Hook reminds Smee that the boy could be an excellent bargaining chip for survival with a mysterious “him”. Setting up next season’s big bad so soon? Read more…

Glee 4×22 ‘All or Nothing’: Or something in between.
With the title being ‘All or nothing’ it was ironic that something in the middle was delivered. I mean – we had our surprise wedding, unmasking of ‘katie xoxo’ and the New Directions winning regionals; yet still it lacked closure – opening up new cans of worms until next fall. Why do you do this to us Glee? Read more…

Grey’s Anatomy 4×23 ‘Readiness is All’: Ethan, eat your yogurt
This episode broke my heart with just about every story line, Ethan and Owen being #1. Just when he gives into the paternal feelings he has for that boy and decides he’ll adopt him, his dad wakes up. Then he gives the classic Owen response, shutting himself down and pushing them away, just like he did with Cristina at first. I predict that something will happen to Paul en route to Seattle Pres and Owen will not only return to his decision to adopt Ethan, he’ll have to deal with Cristina’s feelings about it too. I think it’ll affect the way he feels about being a father initially, because he had to let go of the hope of adopting him, even for such a short time. Wow, I’m getting way ahead of myself. As of now, Paul is fine, but after the crash in last season’s finale, I want something equally monumental this year! Speaking of the crash, I love that they’re called the Grey Sloan Seven. It seems like all of my favorite shows do this: The Fox River Eight, The Oceanic Six…am I missing another one? Read more…

The Vampire Diaries 4×22 ‘The Walking Dead’: They’re Back!
Ok, so I jumped the gun last time thinking we were in for an “April’s Fool Day” graduation episode….I apologize. Before the season 4 finale we were supposed to watch an episode called “The Walking Dead” because well, there were loads of dead people walking around, although its kind of hilarious and weird at the same time given that 99% of the population in Mystic Falls are dead supernatural creatures….walking around so yeah…..come on, which other way could this episode be titled in this season of ‘creativity’. Anyway, lets quickly dissect what happened before we get to the finale predictions. Read more…

Glee 4×21 ‘Wonderful’: Do you want fries with thaa-ah-ahh-at?
This week on a Stevie Wonder themed Glee we have the return of Mercedes, Mike and Kurt. We also find out about Burt’s results and Cassandra reveals her true colours. Amongst all this going on there are still loose ends that need tightening. Let’s start with Kitty and Artie. With only one episode left we keep getting these constant flirty moments: are they actually going to go anywhere and will they finally get together or do something of the sort. Kitty helped Artie accept his offer to Brooklyn Film School by being a sneak of the week and telling his mother about his hesitation of acceptance. We learn that he’s anxious about being in the big city on his own and feels bad for leaving the women that’s looked after him all these years. Awwww, Read more…

The Mindy Project 1×23 ‘Frat Party’: Tom and Mindy’s Freaky Friday
As we near the end of The Mindy Project’s first season, the show seems to want to get bigger and better, and haul back as many guest stars as they possibly can. This is great for the audience, especially when the guest stars are all fantastic comedic actors such as: Bill Hader, Mark DuPlass and Anders Holm, all playing Mindy’s ex-boyfriend, ex-boyfriend/work competition, and ex-boyfriend for half the episode/current boyfriend for the other half. I think that Mindy Kaling is eventually going to use every funnyman in the business to play her love interests, and I can’t wait to see who’s coming on board for Season 2. Read more…

Warehouse 13 4×12 ‘Parks and Rehabilitation’: The Somewhat Great Outdoors
“Parks and Rehabilitation” had a hard job: it was an episode devoted to trying to lighten up the series, while still making sure the audience remembers the emotional burdens of the characters. It reinforces this by starting off with the Warehouse crew with the Regents, pleading Artie’s case. I’m so thankful that this bit is in the episode, as it proves that, for once, the Regents are actually doing their job. The Regents have let a disturbing amount of people go without assessing their mental state: H.G. Wells (who admittedly did get better, but only thanks to Myka), Walter Sykes, and Claudia, after Steve’s death. All of these choices have come back to haunt them, so thankfully, they’ve finally, finally learned from their mistakes. (Not fully, though, because to really make sure Artie was okay they would’ve at least put in some therapy). Read more…
